Internet Access
I am running Windows 7 RC1 as a domain client with a windows 2003 server. I am using fixed IP addressing and a fixed primary DNS server. Upon initial boot up I have full local network connectivity within my domain but no internet access. The server, gateway, cable modem, and DNS server can all be pinged and accessed, but no internet access is available. The only way I have found to correct this problem is to enable DHCP on the Windows 7 client. This gives me internet access but breaks all my local domain connectivity. When I switch back to my fixed IP address structure everything works fine (including internet access), and continues to work though multiple logins and log outs until the system is rebooted. At that point I need to repeat the process to restore internet access.

Can you keep it as DHCP but reserve the addresses from within the gateway so it essentially remains static locally?
