Internet (While Activating Norton or Flash Update) Won't Connect, Says No Internet Connection Even Though (Obviously) I'm Online
I've been searching high and low for an answer and haven't been able to find any solutions so here goes...I'm having the same issue with Norton as I am with a program like updating Adobe Flash, both saying "No Internet Connection." The main one I'm concerned about is the Norton one, getting that going. Same problem, different programs... obviously the variable doesn't lie within those programs.Something curious happened when I tried using Symantec's support... it tried to connect (again) to no avail, but it said it would check the IP files. Then it said it found a corrupt one, attempt to repair. It tried, then it just said it couldn't connect again. With that in mind, I then refreshed my IP using the Microsoft Fix-It tool. That didn't fix anything. (I've also tried activating with the firewall turned off.)Something seems to be blocking, filtering, or somehow firewalling what's let in or out...? I'm totally at a loss and have been working on this for hours, ready to give up. Anything with the Gateway...? Ugh, I dunno.------System; Dell Vostro 220, XP HomeInternet Provider; Comcast.
