Integrate a client into a public web page to communicate with Lync 2013
Is it possible to integrate a sip client or any other type of applet (java?) into a public facing web page that allows for anonymous users on the public side to communicate to authenticated users on the back-end using Lync 2013 clients with a Lync 2013
server? Are there response groups that can be setup for IM?

Check out IM an Expert: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/bryang/archive/2012/04/13/lync-im-an-expert.aspx, that might do the trick for you or give you a headstart. Beyond that and some misc third party items, you could write your own with UCWA https://ucwa.lync.com/about/about-ucwa
