Insufficient disk space to continue indexing (windows 7 and Outlook 2010)
I noticed after installing Office 2010 that the search index feature in outlook wasn't working. It kept saying that the index was not completed. I then went to the windows indexing options area in the control panel and tried rebuilding the index. It would get through just a few items and then stop and say "Insufficient disk space to continue indexing." This is happening on multiple systems within the company. There is at least 20 gigs of space free on the drive. I have tried moving the location of the index to another folder but it doesn't help. I have also tried removing outlook from the index, same problem... Any ideas? Thanks!

This is not an office issue but an apparently common Windows 7 issue. The poster will also find that any attempts to change the indexing options in the Control panel will most probably result in freezing the interface. I have the same problem. I posted the information so far ina separate thread. schweigenthaler
