Installing Windows Defender
Hi:I've got a Dell using Windows XP and I've been trying to instlall Windows Defender but I get to a pop up page that says "Client protection installed, please remove." I don't know what the means? I do not currently have any other anti-virus programs running; only Windows Security Essentials.1 person needs an answerI do too

You don't need Windows Defender (anti-spyware protection) if you have Microsoft Security Essentials installed. Microsoft Security Essentials has its own anti-spyware component built-in. If you had Windows Defender installed and then installed Security Essentials, Essentials would have uninstalled Windows Defender by design. Microsoft® Security MVP, 2004 - 2010
