Installing Windows 8 to GPT or EFI partition fails

Hi there,

I've an ASUS N76VZ laptop with 1x SSD (it was running Windows 7) and 1x HDD. I created a boot disk after downloading the upgrade.

During installation, I get the error:

Windows cannot be installed on this disk. This disk is of the GPT partition style.

Windows cannot be installed on this disk. This disk is of the EFI partition style.

What can I do ?

Thanks.

Hello

So the machine has 2 drives in it?

Is this an EFI machine?

Are both disk set as GPT or is just one of the disks GPT? ( is either disk configured with a EFI system volume)

Which disk contains the Active Partition?  is that the disk you are installing to?
