Installing Visio 2013 Problem
I am trying to download Microsoft Visio Professional 2013 64 bit from DreamSpark. I have successully downloaded the .sdx file from the Secure Download Manager but when I click the Launch button, my downloads folder opens up. I then double click on the .sdx file in the downloads folder only to have it return me to the Secure Download Manager to the same point I was in prior to clicking the Launch button. This process is cyclical from this point onward. My ultimate goal is to get Visio into an .iso format so that I can mount to a virtual drive (Daemon Tools Lite) to install on my computer. Has anyone had this same problem?

Background information:
I am running a 64-bit version of Windows 8.1
I have used the Secure Download Manager to download Visio 2010 to this computer a month ago and that worked just fine.

Hi,

According to your description, it seems like Visio wan't downloaded successfully. Please have a try again or waiting for its download process finished.

I originally tried downloading another copy of the .sdx file, but I'm wondering now if the download copy that the browser gave to me was just a copy of the original download from the secure download manager. Not surprisingly, the results were the same as the first time.

I have attempted to go back into SDM to re-download there, but I see no option to download again there. The only option that shows up around that option is the Launch button. Any suggestions on clearing the Visio download that is already showing up in SDM?

Okay, I was rooting around in my downloads folder and found that there was a copy of a visual studio .iso file in there with a creation date of November 2012. I was sorting my downloads by creation date for obvious reasons, so naturally this on was way down on the list and I just didn't see it. The odd thing is that I only got this computer in 2014, so I am wondering if the creation date was set back to some arbitrary past date when it was first downloaded today.

I would suggest contacting Microsoft DreamSpark regarding this file.
I successfully downloaded a couple of applications to the designated folder without any problems and accessed the .exe or .msi files. There were other files that appeared to successfully download but when launched, just opened to the designated folder.
