Installing GSM-modem driver in Windows 7 to connect the PC to PDA
Hardware: notebook Acer Extensa 4630Z with Windows 7 Home x64, PDA RoverPC G7 Pro with Windows Mobile 6.1. I am trying to set up the Internet connection from my notebook via PDA. Both devices are connected via Wifi, PDA basically being the router bw two networks, the wireless one and mobile. The reason for doing all that is because my notebook doesn't have mobile GSM-modem, which PDA obviously has. The wireless connection is already in place (thanks to WMWifiRouter), however the access to Internet is not yet present. To my understanding before it works I will have to install on my notebook the driver for mobile GSM-modem. Now the question I have to ask is about how to install the modem driver in Windows 7 manually? I'm not asking where to get the driver for Rover, however if anybody knows where to get it, I will much appreciate your help as I suspect Windows 7 won't be able to load it automatically. The second and the last question is about network settings that I have to make on my notebook in order to enable the Internet connection. Specifically I am wondering about settings for firewall and Network detection checkboxes in Control Panel - > Network control Centre - > Change public access parameters.
