Install applications for all users
I have 2003 Server with Win7 32-bit clients. If I install program like MS Office, all domain users can access it, no problem. I install a specific program and it works fine for me, logged on as administrator. If another user from a specified user group (like teacher A from the Teachers group, who has greater priveleges than the Students group on the 2003 Server) logs on the program does not appear in the Start menu. Also, that user will get a message that one or more dll files were not registered properly. I notice that security settings for the installation folder is exactly the same as for, for example, MS Office. I think that somehow the problem is related to permissions for user groups on the Win7 PC and/or the programmer has configured the installation application, otherwise, why does it work for Office but not for another program?. Other than this remaining program - Windows 7 rules! Will greatly appreciate guidance on this issue.
