Install Windows Store Apps to All Users or where to get the Appx?

Hi there,

How can I make some applications, only available through the store, installed for all my users without that Microsoft Account nonsense? I want to install per-machine, for all users, using my admin account.

I know that I can use dism to install the applications, but fail to see where can I get the appx?

Examples of applications I want to install are the Remote Desktop and Lync Client, both provided by Microsoft only on the store.

Thanks.

Problem remains.

Where do I get the Microsoft Apps in appx format?

They seem to be only available thru the store.

I'd like to second this question, I understand the sideloading process but where do we, as the organization who wants to install a free app, get the .appx file to sideload. Is this something that can be downloaded from the Store, or is it something that has to be procured from the publisher. There is plenty of documentation about the sideloading options and processes, but very little about the .appx files, other than making your own.

Use fiddler to get the Appx file:

Now try to use DISM /Add-ProvisionedAppxPackage to install the app for all users. Try if this works.
