InstallShield 11 express cannot see mapped drives in Windows 7 when UAC is on
Hello All, A problem exists when a Windows 7 client tries to install our software that uses InstallShield 11 express. First of all, I know that version of InstallShield has already reached EOL (End of Life). The problem arises when a user wants to install to a mapped drive in Windows 7. If the UAC (User Account Control) is turned on, InstallShield cannot see any mapped drives, but can see all internal & external local drives. If the UAC is turned off, InstallShield has no problem seeing mapped drives. Does anyone know a way around this issue without buying the new version of InstallShield? Thanks.
