Initialize Offline Cache in Windows 7?
Hi, In Windows XP, you could initialize the offline Cache on a computer by going to the offline files tab, holding CTRL + SHIFT and clicking Delete Files. In Windows 7, I cannot find any way to initialize the cache. I have tried the registry method by changing the `Format Database`value in the registry, but it doesn`t exist. Is there a way to completely re-initialize the cache in Windows 7? I don't want to just delete the files, I want to re-initialize to clean up other things like Windows trying to sync the home folders of other users who logged into the machine etc. Thanks Rosy_55

Hi Rosy_55, Thanks for the post! Please refer to this KB 230738: How to re-initialize the offline files cache and database. Thanks, thats what I was going by before but it didn't seem to be working. This time I used the "Fix It" msi download, and it seemed to do the trick. Thanks Rosy_55
