Increase Partition size
I am trying to increase the partition size of my C Drive.About 12 months ago somebody partitioned my C Drive but the C Drive is full and needs to be increased in size. I have cleared the D Drive and it is shown as being unallocated.I am in Diskpart from command prompt trying to extend the size of the C Drive by typing extend size 22000 but it will not accept the numbers I am inputting. C drive is 15gb and unallocated is 22.11 gbDoes anyone have any idea of what I might be doing wrong or have I missed something fundamental?1 person needs an answerI do too

You have been saved from yourself. There is no way to non-destructively change partition sizes natively in XP. Doing partition work in XP gets rid of all data. Did you really want to do that? Back up your data anyway to be safe and use a third-party partitioning program. I use Acronis Disk Director but there are others. Gparted is free.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
