OE tends to self-destruct, which means it will often fill the inbox with zeroes and then you have no more messages. That appears to have happened in your case. Check your Recycle bin for an inbox.bak file that is a backup of the dbx file if present. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2 and also #4 on that page. If there is no bak file then search for *.dbx (hidden) and see if you find a variation on the inbox.dbx file (inbox (1) or somesuch) and see if you can import that manually into OE (seewww.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#imp1). You can determine which file OE is using for the inbox by right clicking on the inbox folder in the OE folder list and going to Properties. If you still can't get the messages from all that, then your only recourse is the extract from disk feature of my DBXpress program (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/) unless you have a backup. steve <Bob at Excel> wrote in message news:Email removed for privacy...HiI opened my Outlook Express yesterday and all Inbox messages after the 29/08/2009 had disappeared. All other folders are intact.Any ideas where they have gone and how to get them back.CheersBob
