In Windows 7 Unsynchronized Offline Files will be deleted without warning when the parent folder on network has been deleted
Hello
In windows 7 unsychronized offline changes will be deleted without warning when the parent folder on the network has been deleted
Steps to reproduce:
1. From this path: \\server\test$\folder1\folder2, folder2 has been made "Always available offline" on my laptop
2. When Offline, on the laptop I create
\\server\test$\folder1\folder2\Test.txt
3. Before coming online with the laptop, on the server I delete
\\server\test$\folder1 and all subfolders
4. After coming Online with the laptop
\\server\test$\folder1\folder2\Test.txt will be deleted without warning
It looks as though this is 'By Design', but I cannot believe deleting Unsynchronized offline changes without warning was meant to be
Recovering the file with several recovering tools seems to be impossible as well
Does anyone have an solution or explanation for this behaviour?
Thanks
