In Short Cut Properties the Shurtcut Tab is missing
Hi, I have a weird problem and have looked on the net and do not see a solution. If I go to right click on a shortcut on my desktop I only have the following tabs, General, Security, Details, and Previous Versions. I am missing the shortcut tab. Without this I cannot see where my shortcuts targets are. Any help is appreciated.

Does the issue occur on all of the shortcuts? If so, I suggest you use System Restore to restore the system back to a fine status. If System Restore does not help, you may need to repair the system with In-place Upgrade.Arthur Xie - MSFT

if you get the urge, you can view the .LNK file's binary, and analyze why that field is absent per this msdn spec: Open Specifications 2.1.1 LinkFlags haha. sure thing. or if you want a more practical approach to finding the folder that target app lives in, just invoke it (double click the icon). then open Task Manager. right-click that application and then click go to process. right-click that process and click open file location. now you have found the actual exe file. if you want, you can copy that exe, then paste-shortcut anywhere else you want. eg, replace the weird shortcut you're inquiring about here. this new shortcut you just created will act normal.
