Importing WLAN profiles from .wpn file
I upgraded a user from an old computer with XP to a new computer with Windows 7. On the old computer, the user had several wireless profiles from many places that they did not want to lose in the transfer. I got the files backed up using the export option to a .wpn file but now I need to import it to the new windows 7 computer. Does anybody know how to do this?

Hi, You should be able to use Windows Connect Now [WCN] on the XP machine to transfer an existing wireless network profile, ie. SSID/encryption type/key, to a USB flash drive. Then you can simply plug in the flash drive to the Windows 7 PC/laptop. More detail, please refer this article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb878069.aspx Open the wizard and use the Manually assign a network key option.
