Hi, First, please disable all Security Software and Firewall to check the result. If the issue persists, let's start the service manually. Check Security Center service ---------------------------------------- 1. Click Start, type Services.msc in Start Search bar, and then press Enter. 2. In the right pane, double-click Security Center. 3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, click Apply, click Start, and then click OK. 4. Restart the computer. If any error message is received, please let me know what exactly it is. In addition, please also refer to the following post to scan the malware. http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistasecurity/thread/ba80504b-61f1-4d71-960f-b561798b7b42 Hope it helps.
