In the Task Manager, Networking tab, I see continual activity even though I am not specifically communicating via the web by browsing or MSN chat. The activity speed is slow (~10 - 20kbps), but continuous. Occasionally my antivirus (Symantec) real-time scan informs me of a virus discovered in some file that was successfully removed from the file, or that the file was deleted. I suspect these two issues are connected. Is there any way I can identify what application is communication over my cable modem, and from where on the Web it is doing this? Please be aware that not all local shops are skilled at removing malware and even if they are, your computer may be so infested that Windows will need to be clean-installed. My issue has disappeared.This may be the result of my installing Symantech's N360 security package, but I can't say for certain whether my issue disappearing coincides with when I installed N360.
