Identifying an Unidentified Network
I have a Win 7 Pro machine that I'm trying to connect to the internet through a Verizon MiFi wireless hotspot device. I can "connect" to the device's network, but the network remains unidentified and does not allow any connectivity whatsoever. I can't even connect to the device using it's IP address. I tried it on another Win 7 Pro machine and it connected just fine. When I connected to the network, I got a dialogue box asking what type of network it was (home, work, public). I selected home, and everything worked. I did not initially set up and connect the MiFi, so I'm not sure if that dialogue also appeared on machine #1, but for whatever reason, I cannot get the network to identify. I tried removing the network profile and recreating it (both automatically and manually) but I still was not asked what kind of network this was. If the dialog box did appear, it would seem that Windows remembers the (wrong) selection that was originally made. So, the question is, how the heck do I get this network to appear as a home network? Normally, I would be able to click on the network type just below the name of the network and change it, but in this case the type is not clickable. Help?! Please and thank you.Click Start, click Run..., type "cmd" and hit enter, type "work /now"

A. It just says that it can't find the problem. I've reset the adapter, reset the device, and done everything else that it asked of me. B. No I can't. C. I really don't think it's a problem with the device because it works perfectly well on the other machine. I think this is a Windows issue.Click Start, click Run..., type "cmd" and hit enter, type "work /now"
