Icons in taskbar
I am using windows 7 for few days and I am really not satisfied [from user perspective] with icons in taskbar. It is cool feature that when you stand on some icon pop up shows open windows for that application, but the problem is display of icon to show that you opened something from that application. Currently this is indicated by double icon bellow original icon [shifted a little in side] and this approach is amateur and this makes icon more ugly and un-professional. It makes more sense to color icon with some color to indicate that something is run from this app. Also if this is approach in windows 7, there should not be any more quick launch, and the icons in taskbar should be only the one that you run, so in this way you would not confuse icons and running apps. regards, dragoslav zaric Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD), M.Sc. in Astrophysics

"Currently this is indicated by double icon bellow original icon [shifted a little in side]and this approach is amateur and this makes icon more ugly and un-professional"Dragoslav,I think I understand what you mean, but it dosn't appear that way on my machine. For me the buttons have three states:1. Standard, not running - just appear as a large icon similar to the old quicklaunch.2. Mouse hover - hilights with the dominant color from the icon3. Running - created a border around the icon and slightly hilights it in white. As for your second point, it seems that your problem stems from not being able to tell what is running and what is not. It is pretty obvious on my machine. Is it possible that your install is not running the same as my one? are you running a beta, or the RC?visit http://www.ltrn.com.au/files/taskbar.bmpfor a screenshot of how my taskbar appears.ExUbuntu.
