You can try the following method. Please download and extract this zipfile, then copy Layout.dll into your C:\Windows\System32, assuming youve installed Windows 7 on your C: drive. Then youll need to double-click on the Layout.reg file, which will add the contents to the registry. Before you import the registry, please backup your registry first. Please open the Registry Editor, and click File in the menu bar, Choose Export, Select Desktop in the Save in box and type backup in File Name, then click Save. Note: The backup file is on the Desktop and named backup.reg. you can simply restore the registry by double-clicking the backup.reg file if you dont want to import the new registry. Now when you right-click on the Computer entry in the start menu, youll see two new items for Save Desktop Icon Layout and Restore Desktop Icon Layout. Arrange your icons the way youd like them, and then click the Save layout menu item. Whatever you have done with the Desktop layout, You can choose "Restore Desktop Icon Layout" to restore your previous setting.I hope this can help you.John
