I would like to change the drive on which paging is conducted.
My understanding is that I would follow the steps below. However, I wanted to double check before I messed something up. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then press ENTER. Click the Advanced tab, and then under Performance click Settings. Click the Advanced tab, and then under Virtual memory click Change. Under Drive [Volume Label],select the drive on which you want the paging filesFrom here, I assume I can also change thespace allocated for paging if necessary. After I have done this, should I delete the paging files from the drive where paging was previously conducted? 1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi skinorthpeak,Microsoft has a KB article on this. See:How to move the paging file in Windows XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/307886After moving, you don't have to remove the Pagefile.sys file manually in the old location. IIRC, it should be deleted automatically from the old location.Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Desktop Experience]
