I think somebody has taken control over my computer.
Yesterday I was trying to install security updates but was unble to because "the program was in use by another application". So I opened C:\Windows\Temp and found plenty of files in there, some I was able to delete and others I wasn't able to. SoI downloaded the Process Explorer and located the files and deleted them, however they kept coming back! Finally I decided to do a system recovery, after this was complete I was able to install all neccessary updates for my computer, but soon after, the files came BACK AGAIN!The files look something like this: mcmsc_XhnDhmZfmoqXRmdThey keep multiplying and when I try to delete them this message comes up: cannot delete becausefile isin use by another application or program. Can someone please give me some insight, I know someone has hacked into my computer, but what can I do about this? Also, I did it before but how do I figure out if there is an IP addressthat has accessto my computer? Thanks very much!EDIT:I was just browsing my windows documents and I found a ton ofblue files, one of which states this: $NtServicePackUninstall$ This is bad isn't it?And somebody removed Process Explorer too!!!!

Hi,Yes I am. Then I think you better try an alternative. According to this forum, the files inthe temp folder come from McAfee. Did you check you are running the latest version or beta for Windows 7?The blue $NtServicePackUninstall$ folders are usually created by Windows Update. The fact that they exist do not mean anything is wrong with your system. When you remove McAfee and turn on Windows Firewall with Advanced Security, all incoming traffic to your system is blocked by default. Eventually you can then start investigating if unordinary stuff is going on on the system.Ray

Okay, thanks, I just couldn't figure out why things were being deleted off my computer and I couldn't install updates.
