REmote assistance in cleaning my computer of broken files deleted (accidentally probably) all my Games that come with XP and also deleted my volume control icon from my taskbar, which I cannot get back.

That takes care of the other person's game problem. What about re-installing the volume control, which is the directive I receive when I attempt to move the icon to the taskbar.

This is where the problem begins. When I click on "Place volume icon in taskbar," the directive now says that volume control has to be installed. I need help to know how to do this.

Click Run, Type mmsys.cpl in the box, put a check in the box, if you get an error message post back.
