I need to reactivate windows after a full restore on a winodws 8 pre-installed computer?

Hi everybody. I got a computer last christmas (2012) and it was pre-installed with windows 8.

As something happened to my computer (all metro apps stop working, inclusive settings, scince it's a metro app) I decided to make a full system restore. When I finally were able to find how (Without using settings) i did it.

Now I have a Clean computer with windows 8 but it says I have not registered windows 8! As I'm pretty used to computers, I looked for the serial number under my computer. I thought I found it (Teh number after S/N) but it wasn't that. (Some of the numbers were not usable in a activation key, such as L and W) As I go into computer info, i see a code which looks like this: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX, but then I get to the wierd part. "This Product key is already used on Another computer, Try with Another key or try again. And when I try again 0 can't be used...

Can somebody please help me? I can't understand why windows need to be reactivated after a full system restore on a windows 8 pre-installed computer...

Hi

Please try the following method:

1. Press WIN+R, then it will prompt RUN dialog.

2. type slui 4, and press Enter.

3. Following the direction to activate your system.

If problem persists, as Arnav Sharma mentioned,I would like to suggest you to contact Microsoft Product Activation Center by telephone to verify the product key and activate your system.

To start the Product Activation Wizard, follow these steps:

1. At the Start screen, swipe in from the right side, or hover your mouse in the upper-right corner of the screen to display the charms menu.

2. Tap or click the Settings charm.

3. Tap or click Change PC Settings.

4. If your PC is not activated, PC Settings will provide instructions that are customized to your activation error. If telephone support can provide help for your error, tap or click the appropriate link, which may resemble one of the following:

a. Activate

b. Activate by phone

c. Contact customer support for help
