I need permission from TrustedInstaller?
Hi, In my windows media player I have all of these "sounds". They are files of chimes and ringings and such, but I don't know where they came from. I've tried to delete them but it says I need permission from "TrustedInstaller" but I don't know what that means. I went into the file locations and right clicked on them and then opened the properties. I attempted to change my "permission" to full control but I can't click on any buttons, they are blank, you know.. I am in the availability to have permission, but I still can't get permission. What can I do? I don't know what in my computer uninstall or add/remove programs is the Windows Media Player, all I have is a plug in for it, it doesn't blatantly let me know which is Windows Media Player; so I can't just uninstall and reinstall it. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Those may be the sounds associated with different themes, and uninstalling/reinstalling WMP12 isn't going to help. Where are they located on your hard drive? There is no "regular" uninstall for WMP, but if you go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features and click on "Turn Windows features on or off", you can scroll down to Media Features, then uncheck the box next to Windows Media Player.
