I keep getting the Bad_Pool_Caller message on my BRAND NEW Gateway NE56R31u Computer!

I tried going to the C:\Windows\Minidump, but it doesn't exist!!!

It says that "Windows Can't Find C:\Windows\Minidump, Please check your spelling & try again?!

So what do I need to do?

I'm completely lost & I just completely restored my computer to factory condition & chose the option to make it harder to recover the files I deleted.

It took me hours to restore & the message still comes up when I leave my computer in sleep mode & try to log in.

Sometimes it will even let me log in & 2 or 3 seconds later the blue screen with the Bad_Pool_Caller_ message comes up!

But every time I restart it & log in, It works fine.

It's just really annoying & I would GREATLY appreciate any help whatsoever!

By the way, I don't know if it's important or not, but my computer is running on Windows 8 operating system.

I also have the box & will reply if there's anything that anyone needs to know!

We do need the actual DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.
WE NEED AT LEAST TWO DMP FILES TO SPOT TRENDS AND CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS. You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking. If you are overclocking stop.  (chances are if you dont know if you are, you are not)a To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.  We need at least 2 DMP FILES to diagnose and confirm The procedure: * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine. * Zip up the copy. * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button. (if available on  your site, MS doesnt have this)  *Please upload them to a file sharing service like Skydrive or"Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply. Link for how to  upload below. http://www.wikihow.com/Use-SkyDrive To ensure minidumps are enabled: * Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter. * Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button. * Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked. * Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies). * Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump. * OK your way out. * Reboot if changes have been made. Please also run MSinfo32 and upload the output as well. To run MSinfo32 please go to start>run>MSinfo32 Go to "file" "save" and upload the saved file with the DMPS System specs are extremely useful so please include whatever you know.

For dumps to be produced. . .

Page file must be on OS drive
* Page file base allocation size must be > than installed physical RAM
Windows Error Reporting (WER) system service should be set to MANUAL
*Set page file to system managed on the OS drive
*Set system crash/recovery options to "kernel Memory Dump"
*User account control must be running.
* Sometimes SSD drives with older firmware do not create DMPS (update firmware) *cleaner applications like Ccleaner delete DMP files so dont run them until you are fixed.
