I keep getting a .dll error message/Bad Image message after logging in and when opening up some programs
It will say something like "wmplayer.exe - Bad ImageC:Windows/System32/browser32.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support."I've already tried a SFC in Command Prompt. It detected problems but was unable to fix them. I've also used a registry cleaner but this had no effect. I noticed that this problem started once when I went to log off then plugged in my iPod whilst the computer was trying to log off (yes I know it sounds really stupid!)1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi niamhrado, 1. Which service pack is installed on the system? Usually by running a SFC scan for the second time will fix the issue.Method 1:You may try running a SFC scan for the second time and check:Perform a system file scan to check for any system file corruptions.a. Click Start, All programs and then Accessories. Click Command Prompt.b. In the Command Prompt window type “sfc /scannow” (without quotes) and then press Enter.c. After the scan has completed, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check for the issue. For addition information, you may refer the following link:Description of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 System File Checker (Sfc.exe)http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310747 If you are still facing issues, then try an inplace upgrade of Windows XP.Method 2:You may refer the following KB article to perform an Inplace Upgrade:How to perform an in-place upgrade (reinstallation) of Windows XPhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/978788Note: Before performing the inplace upgrade, take a backup of all the important data to an external drive. An inplace upgrade will only work if you have the same service pack on the windows XP disc as installed on the machine, such as SP2 on the machine and the same on the windows XP disc.If in case, you have SP3 installed on the machine and Windows XP disc is only with SP2, then you will have to uninstall SP3 first and then perform an inplace upgrade.Refer the link to uninstall Windows XP SP3 if it is installed on the system:How to remove Windows XP Service Pack 3 from your computerhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/950249Hope this information is helpful.
