I have windows XP using Outlook express on IE8.
When using IE 8 the mail client was OE, now for some reason it's hotmail. When selecting tools, internet options, the only selection is hotmail. Is there a way to make OE my primary mail acct. Should I download windows live for a mail client. Then how would I make it a choice for IE81 person needs an answerI do too

Your IE8 version has nothing to do with your default e-mail client.Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Set Program Access and Defaults | Custom + Down Arrow | Select the radio button for Outlook Express.Make OE the default e-mail client: http://www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspxFor links in e-mail: http://www.oehelp.com/oelnk.aspxAnd: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306098Restores OE to the E-mail clients list in Internet Optionshttp://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/oe_client.htmIf you have MS Outlook installed, also see #13: http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#13 "Send To" and E-mail Links Do Not Work Using Outlook Express as Default:http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306098Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]
