Cordless telephones operating on the 2.4 GHz band can interfere with wireless networking. So can wireless networks belonging to your neighbors. And home wireless routers can start to fail after a few years.

I can't give you a definite answer, But if multiple computers are having trouble staying connected and you don't have the sources of interference that I mentioned, then it's likely that replacing the router will help.

Having the same issue as the original poster, and it's something that became frequent enough in the last two months that I stopped using wireless, but that's only a temporary solution. (nothing's changed about my cordless phone setup in those months and my router is 2 years old max)I'm wondering if it's somehow connected to having ActiveSync up/running and my smartphone connected to the computer. I know that's an odd connection to make but today when I was trying to type mail in Yahoo, I got an http error code #12007 and that's what showed up when I did a search elsewhere. I recognize the two may be unrelated, but my Internet connection stopped working at the same time. The icon in the bottom right has rollover text that says it's working fine, but I can't disable or change the connection in any way and it's clear I've been kicked off the Internet. I'll have to restart, which means closing all the windows/programs I had open to work on.Very frustrating.
