Please, see thispost, also you might try the"clean boot mode" (same instructions as for Vista) for testing your issue. Keep us informed. My English is not very well.

This may be caused by the corrpted theme. Try resetting the theme:1. Click control panel->Appearance and Personalization. Under Personalization section, click Change the theme.2.Click Windows 7 Basic theme and then click a theme you want to use. Thomas Lin

I am experiencing the same problem with the 32-bit Windows 7 RTM version. I'm not exactly certain when this problem started. Here is what I have done:- Installed Windows 7 clean onto a new disk- Used Migwiz to copy my data from XP installation- Used Migwiz to load my data onto the new Win7 install- Installed my "required" Apps (mostly Vista versions)At some point the- no folder refresh without F5 - behavior started. It does not happen all of the time, and it will go away for a while without rebooting the computer. I can't seem to find the cause for it to come or go. I will try the Shellexview and Theme switch suggestions and report back.John

I tried the Theme switch as well as disabling all non-Microsoft Shell Extensions using Shellexview. Unfortunately, none of these suggestionsworked and the problem still randomly occurs.John

I have found that if I wait long enough the folder will eventually refresh without pressing the F5 key. Sometimes it takes up to 30 seconds. Very strange problem.John

I have discovered what was causing the problem on my system. I did a clean install of Windows 7 on a new disk drive. I gave the new Windows 7 installation a new "Computer Name". I used Files and Settings Transfer Wizard to move the data from my old PC to my new PC. Part of the data that was restored were my old PC's folder shares. When I opened the Win7 Library Folder, I could see a share "MySharedData on <Old PC Name>" listed under Computer. Obviously, that share does not exist on my new Win7 installation. When I would click on that share, my PC would hang for ~20 seconds and throw a "not found" error. When I deleted that incorrect share, I no longer had to do F5 refresh. Everything is working correctly for me now. I hope that it stays that way...
