I have several services relating to Windows Update that are not working. Windows 7 - 64bit
I'm running on Windows 7 Home Premium and 64- bit. I have tried several methods at the moment but none seem to work. - Windows Defender is a little buggy, I got it started but not able to update, even manually - Services are missing from the Service.msc. This includes Windows Update, and BITS, possibly a few others. - I've tried sfc /scannow; it tells me everything is fine as is. - I have also tried several FixIts, but sadly I wouldn't be posting if they worked :) I would love to have this worked out, I can't upgrade my video card drivers due to my system not being up to date. :( Also, I do not have WSE installed. I do have Webroot AntiVirus/Spyware and I also have MalwareBytes. Thank you to those that can and are willing to help! Edit 1: I have tried MS FixIt 50202, even on aggressive mode. It said BITS failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. Any other FixIts that a worth a try?

I tried using the command you posted in that thread, it did not work and gave me an error.
