The server does not support a SSL connection.Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers Tab. Uncheck the SSL option. If that does not fix it, please ask in the WLMail forum.Windows Live Mail Forumhttp://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=15Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]

HiThis is the way to set Windows Live POP/SMTP.http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Windows-Mail-setting-up-an-account-from-start-to-finishHowever, ISPs vary in the way their Internet connection supports pop3.As an example, my Verizon DSL blocks all SMTP domains that are not verizon.net.That means that short of changing my ISP I do not have use of the SMTP.Check you ISP's policy.Jack-MVP Windows Networking.
