I have s screens flash by when I start up
Hi, Windows 7 64 Home Premium. When I restart, I have 2 command line screens quickly flash by. Too quick for me read, but it looks like a regular windows command list with a bunch of options. I have done all the usual virus and malware scans and have no reason to suspect there are problems as every thing is working fine. Still, this is new behaviour. Anyway to "trap" or log this activity or figure out what is going on? thanks

Sounds like you have enabled show OS Boot Information in System Configuration. To check, click the start orb, enter msconfig in the search box and press enter, click the Boot tab to see the options enabled there.

Thanks, no nothing is ticked in the boot menu. I was fiddling about in MSCONFIG because I had a bunch of stuff starting that I didn't wat so "selective start up" is checked in the general tab. If I were to enable boot logging it might be able to track this down. Where would windows store this log? thanks

According to the help it should be stored at %SystemRoot%Ntbtlog.txt

Also a boot trace may help you figure out what happened.
