I have a wireless router and when I type in the security key for it, it connects to a completely different connection that is unlocked. How do I fix this?
Just got a wireless router. I have a security key set up but when I click on the Wireless name, it tells me to enter my Security key. When I enter it, it disappears and within 5 minutes it connects to someone else's wireless that is unsecured.. What do I do to connect to my wireless? 1 person needs an answerI do too

Without any details of your setup, it's hard to say what's happening. Make sure that your computer has installed the latest Windows XP service pack. If you haven't already done so, change the router's default network name (SSID) to something unique. That way, you can be sure what router your computer is trying to access. I'd start with security disabled and make sure that the computer can connect to your router. When that works, enable security.
