I have a question Why?
Ok Why Was vista even developed Why was Windows 7 even put out there evidentily some one knows how to put an OS together because XP was the best there was the best that'll ever Be but Windows ME and Windows vista were a joke and thousands to millions can agree to that. I'm trying to figure out why vista was even released when Microsoft was going to release Windows 7. I don't get this release junk one year next year put out the the best thing to date out there. Microsoft did this with ME/XP Now did it again with Vista and Windows 7 Vista being the cusin to windows ME and a Royal pain in many back side. then Windows 7 Beta RC and soon a release of the best dang thing since xp I've Had little issues in the past few days with windows 7 it's doing thing on my old dead horse with vista I could only dream about but windows 7 already performing as a rc way better. I can't imagine What final tweaking in the final pounding of the code will do getting the few and minor issues fixed this puppy gonna fly on my system. Correction: is flying on my system

Mikro - Comparing Windows ME with Vista is just so wrong on SO many levels... ME was (and is) the end of the DOS shell codebase. Windows up until then sat on top of MS DOS. Vista is NT version 6.0. Besides being from Microsoft, they have precious little in common. Vista was developed with SECURITY as a primary feature. Given the "swiss cheese" nature of security in XP and earlier versions of Windows, Vista was designed to be the most secure OS Microsoft put out up to that point. And it was. That's why Vista was developed. Windows 7 is designed to take Vista's security and make it more user friendly and improve on the previous generation.

I tested vista for months and then the team said thanks were getting ready to release there were still 500.000 un resolved issues in vista beta feedback on connects to this day vista release never ran right on my computer neigher did Windows ME before it My system was oem windows ME computer then I imediately got rid of it back in 2001 I installed full xp pro I won on a MS sweeps and ran that for years.Bored I threw Windows vista beta/RC onMy systemto see what it was all about and doing the beta and rc ran nice pretty good then the final bells and whistles were added to the final I bought an upgrade to xp the activation failed out of the box I had to call ms support once running longer than 3 days It was ok but I tested it months before I knew the quorks and bugs it tossed at me. Same thing with windows 7 rc I just hope the final release doesn't get all jacked up like vista. Already windows 7 rc shows much improved performance I even got things done in the pass few days I had to abandon on vista because it wouldn't work.I do alot of hours on of video editing surfing the web most of the time on my system when editing I already got to fire up task manager and shut processes down that I don't need on Vista Pinnacle studio still ran slow even after ending the processes. On windows 7 rc I do the same thing Much faster granted I need more ram 1gig not cutting it any more 2gig will I should be getting my hardware squared away soon. But running the bare minimal specs for windows 7 I see hangs freezes issues with cashing issues. I hope these issues will be resolved in the coming months moving forward. What stinks I missed the beta of windows 7 beta where the real bug reporting happensI'm comparing MyWindows experiences based on every day use of the OSes I mentionedaboveI'm no tech I'm no real expert but I've used every version of windows thus far You spend as much time as I do on a computer I pick up on things most of the coreUI is the same in windows It's look and feel is slightily different the basic menu's are still there. My point I know what I expect out of a Windows OS Over the years.I'm hoping windows 7 is the next xp It's looking pretty good Posted By Mikro
