I have a laptop with windows 7
I have a laptop with windows 7 and it won't let me connect to the internet. I have a wireless router in my home and the desktop is working fine. The laptop will let me have access to Yahoo messenger but not the web....I have tried toshiba but their support team tells me that it is a router issue or an internet service isssue....but I have my doubts,. could it be a windows problem??

It may be a router issue as I have seen posts of people not being able to connect using some routers with Win 7. It is not a Windows 7 problem as I connect via wireless through my home router without any problem. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. 1-Check your proxy settings. 2-Use cmd and then write nslookup and when you are using this utility try to write dns names like www.facebook.com and check if IP addresses are returned.
