yeah, there are scammers posing as being from Microsoft all over the world and has been going on since the invention of email. the fortunate thing is that you were keen on suspecting the trap. the interesting thing about the zip attachment is that it can be a worm that may be designed to sabotage your computer or the web servers all over this country. it is a terrorist act. my opinion is that f Microsoft has passed on these problems and costs onto homeland security. but it is highly likely that as long as home land security is kept apprised by issues like yours, then they will get with the computer giants, i.e. Microsoft, McIntosh, Norton, McAfee, etc... to address such threats with some degree of coordination. you can look home land security up for additional fyi. also here are some other links: http://www.bing.com/search?q=microsoft+scam+reporting&form=MSNH14&qs=AS&sk=AS2&pq=microsoft+scam&sp=3&sc=6-14 -- db`...><)))> ."here i am now" wrote in message news:5882f34b-32cb-4de4-9a74-1f934dfbdb32...Somebody send me an email at Email removed for privacy on how to contact Microsoft on somebody passing themselves off as Microsoft especially asChad Weaver,Director of Security Assurance Microsoft Corp.Thanks.Georgedb`...>-)))> `...>-)))> share the nirvana mann
