Hi, Please let me know the exactly error message when trying to backup. If you choose backup files manually, ensure they are available on the computer, not on the removable drive. Error code 0x8100002F and or error code 0x80070002 when you back up files in Windows 7 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2534518 Niki Han TechNet Community Support

Okay so I looked back into my event viewer and saw that the 0x80070002 stopped the backup the first time it said because the system couldn't find the specific file. Then i tried to backup my computer again, and different error message showed up called: 0x80070057 which said that the parameter was incorrect. I did a Windows Disk Check and no bad parameters came up, and I know the external hardrive wasnt damaged because I checked it too.
