I cannot uninstall Quick Time
After installing Picasa to send photos over the internet, Picasa told me: Picasa had a problem loading a certain file in My Pictures. So, I exited and tried to delete that file but got a new message: Cannot delete because it is being used by another person or program. This led me to suspect Quick Time which is installed on my desktop Windows XP system. Next I tried to uninstall Quick Time, but got the following: a program or control panel which uses Quick Time appears to be running. I can't disengage QT from running. Can you help me?

Hi L. Svoboda,Method 1:Try to check in task manager, if any QuickTime process is running. If you find any process running, try to end the process and try uninstalling the QuickTime. To do that:a. Right click on the task manager and select task bar.b. Click on processes tab.c. Click on the QuickTime process.d. Click on end process. Now try uninstalling the QuickTime and check. You may also try pressing ctrl+alt+del or ctrl+shift+esc on the keyboard to brings up the taskmanager. Method 2: Try to uninstall Quicktime by putting the computer in clean boot mode.Refer: How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" statehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Note: After troubleshooting, make sure to put the computer to start as usual by following the steps provided in the above KB article.
