Thanks Cdobbs for replying.I have checked the way you have suggested to find the port no. 1503, but there was not any PID having port no 1503. Even when I have tried after keeping my comminicator chat on with PC sharing request sending, it has not occupied the port no 1503.Still I am getting the same erroe message in my communicator as " A data sharing session could not be established with Manish Kumar Sudhirbhai Nagar. Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator. " Best Regards, hasmukh ghatala

Hi,I am having also the same problem. Office communicator 2005 is working fine but unable to share desktop with others. I think this is due to Netmeeting which is disabled in Windows 7. The only solution left is upgrade to Microsoft Communicator 2007.-Atique Khan

This is not a complete solution. It means Windows 7 is not compatible with Microsoft Office Communicator 2005. MS must provide patches for the older application or they can discontinue the older application to be used at the client end and enforce them to buy a new version of the product. As business is mainly depends on interoperability of the internal project team for any stream of people, we cannot neglect this issue. If it continue to persist, people will not go for using the Windows 7 which is found incompatible with their own application products.Best Regards, hasmukh ghatala
