HiWhen Outlook is configured with an email account the email server's address has to be put in the account configuration.Example, http://www.ezlan.net/Win7/pop3_account.jpgIf No server was put there, or there is a mistake in the typing, or the server is temporary down Outlook can not send or receive mail from the missing server and would protest. So, check your Outlook configuration and make sure that it is correct. Please not that some ISPs block the use of email programs that try to use a mail server that is not part of their system. As an Example Verizon DSL allows only connection to their own mail server when using Outlook. The solution (when having such an ISP) is to use an email address that can be managed through the Browser, like Hotmail. Jack MVP-Networking. EZLAN.NET
