I cannot get remote desktop (RDC) to work other than locally in Vista
Please can someone help me out? No matter what I try, I cannot get my new Vista Ultimate PC to respond to an RDC request other than locally. Ive set it up, allowed the port access through my Norton 2007 firewall and set the settings to allow connections from all versions of RDC and tested it on my local network. This works fine, I can both take control of an XP machine and can use the XP machine to connect to my Vista PC. I use DynDNS, running as a service to update my IP. If I lookup my DNS name, it resolves to the correct IP without a problem. As soon as I open MSTSC/RDC I cannot connect. I get the error "This computer can't connect to the remote computer...Try connecting again. If the problem persists, contact the owner of the remote computer or your network administrator". Both PC's use the new version of RDC. PLEASE can someone help, I need to get this working asap. Thanks,Ross

If you go to the http://www.canyouseeme.org site does the test pass? Run the test from your Vista Ultimate PC, ie. the PC you want to remotely access/control with Remote Desktop.
