When I try to add a new user account, I get a message that the security (event) log is full and I cannot add the new account. I deleted one user account and tried again. Same error message. I enabled the "Guest" account (disabled by default in XP), same error message. I logged into a third user account successfully, changed it from an administrator account to a limited account. Changed the user account name and password. Logged off and tried to access the newly changed account. I got the same Security Log Full message and can no longer log into that account. I have Windows XP Pro running on a Hewlett Packard. I have searched and found a lot of technical things concerning use of the command prompt but am sure this much be more simple. Apparently, I need to know how to find and change the security log settings to "overwrite log". I would appreciate any help I can get with this. Thank you, dak1 person needs an answerI do too
