If You Have Not Received An E-mail From Microsoft Saying that You Qualify 4 The Free Upgrade, Then You Most Likely Do Not Qualify 4 The Free Upgrade 2 Windows 7 (I Don't Qualify Either). A Free 180 Day Trial Of The Server Version Of Windows 7 (Windows Server 2008 R2 RTM) Will Become Available On August 20th, 2009! I Plan 2 Use This 2 Keep Myself Entertained Until Windows 7 Comes Out in Retail Stores On October 22nd, 2009. I Suggest You Do The Same Thing As Me.Microsoft Beta Tester

August 7th, 2009 4:33am

Right Now There Is No Way Of Getting Windows 7 RTM Unless You Are A MSDN Or Tech Net Subscriber, Or You Were Invited 2 The Private Windows 7 Beta By Microsoft (Which Is A Completely Different Beta From The Windows Ecosystem Beta).Microsoft Beta Tester

August 7th, 2009 4:39am

If You Did Not Recieve An Invite Back In December Of 2008 And/Or January Of 2009, Chances Are That You Do Not Qualify 4 The Free Copy Of Windows 7 RTM, And Will Need 2 Purchase It From Your Favorite Retail Store On October 22nd, 2009.Microsoft Beta Tester

If you are, in fact, an authorized Windows 7 Beta Participant, you need to visit https://connect.microsoft.com/dashboard/and sign-in with your Microsoft Passport Account. Assuming you sign-in successfully, click on the Windows 7 Beta Program. On the next page, click on Information on getting Your Windows 7 RTM "Thank you" copy.If you cannot sign-in as described above or do not see the links I provided, you are not an authorized Windows 7 Beta participant and therefore not eligible for the Windows 7 RTM offer.Carey Frisch

I am very confused about my eligibility for the free RTM released on 6 Aug 09:I was invited, by email, to participate in the Windows Feedback Program for the Windows 7 Beta on 2/18/09 and was told in that email I would receive a free copy of Windows Vista[!]Ultimate for participating. I then received an updated invitation to participate in the Windows Feedback Program for the Windows 7 Release Candidate on 5/12/09. That email told me I would receive a free copy of the final release ofWindows 7 Ultimate after participating in the Win7 Release Candidate feedback program. At no time since joining this Windows Feedback Program have I had access to the Windows 7 Beta links on Microsoft Connect (where I do have a dashboard and am signed up in a couple of other beta groups - but cannot see any linksfor Windows 7). I am, though, listed as "active" on the Windows Feedback Program web site. Now all the official announcements and supporting threads here state that, if you do not have access to the Windows 7 Beta on Microsoft Connect (or are not a paying subscriber to Microsoft TechNet), you do not qualify fora freecopy of Windows 7 Ultimate-- but I have invitations from Microsoft's Windows Feedback Program, that I accepted, telling me that I will receive a free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate (although there was never another word about the free copy of Windows Vista Ultimate they promisedat first). I have yet to receive any email this week regarding the free RTM release. What is the difference between an invitation from Microsoft Connect and an invitation from the Windows Feedback Program -- and why don't these two programs seem to know anything about each other?Could somebody please tell me what's going on with the Windows Feedback Program offer-- and how I get the free copy of Windows 7 Ultimate that was promised to me for participating? My emails to the Windows Feedback Program about this matter have gone unanswered.
