I am using user accounts control.
I am using user accounts control and it requires everything to be authorized. How do I change that. The "help" selection informed me to go to "run" type in secpol.msc and then run. Did that. Guess what! I do not have secpol.msc. I even searched for it. SO HOW DO I AUTHORIZE SOME PROGRAMS SO THAT THE INFERNAL AUTH BLOCK DOES NOT COME UP????????????????????????????????1 person needs an answerI do too

I understand that you are upset but you need to be far more descriptive about what is really happening. Windows XP does not have User Account Control the way Vista does. If you are getting error messages, please quote them exactly - without paraphrasing. Explain what programs are giving you the issues and answer: The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't? The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what programs (and versions) did you use to determine this? Be sure the computer is clean: http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware You apparently have XP Home Edition, which doesn't have secpol.msc. But we need to know the answers to the questions above and some concrete details about your system before giving you focused advice.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
