First, there is no such thing as "Outlook6". You're speaking of Outlook Express, not Outlook. They're not the same thing. Second, you don't have a mail address for Outlook Express (or any mail client). You have an address that directs mail to a mailbox on a mail server, like those hosted by live.com, msn.com, gmail.com, and so on. You use a mail client like Outlok Express to access that mailbox and fetch the messages deposited there by the server. If you have an msn.com address, then create the account in Outlook Express that references your MSN mailbox. See this: Send and Receive Windows Live Hotmail emails from a Mail Client. If your address isn't an msn.com address, then contact whoever supplies your mail and ask them how to configure Outlook Express to access your mailbox.Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]------------------------------If a reply helps, please vote it as helpful. Which news server? They most always use port 119, but other than that they differ by server. Here are the settings for Microsoft News, but they will cease to exist on October 1. this will give you an idea though.Setting up Outlook Express to access Microsoft newsgroups:http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/outlookexpressnewreader.htm FWIW, I use Eternal September as my main news server.Eternal Septemberhttp://www.newsgroupreviews.com/eternal-september.htmlWhatever news server you choose, they should have instructions on their Websites.Bruce Hagen ~ MS-MVP [Mail]
