Thank you================================It's possible that you are running out of ink.But maybe you can find the cleaning option if you go to...Start / Control Panel / Printers and Faxes...right click the Name of your default printer and choose..Properties / Services.Volunteer J - MS-MVP - Digital Media Experience - Notice_This is not tech support_I am a volunteer - Solutions that work for me may not work for you - ***Proceed at your own risk***

Thank youYour printer probably has instructions - but it's also possible that you're either using the wrong color-space, have badly-calibrated the printer, or that you're running out of inkFor better advice - please respond with the make/model of your printer, and what the printer's own Test page looks like.-- Noel Paton | Nil Carborundum Illegitemi | CrashFixPC

Maybe you do, maybe not. Your first step should be to print its testpage and see how that comes out. > How do I perform this task? Thank you Instructions for doing this should be in your manual or on the printermanufacturer's web site. Ken Blake

Please don't take this the wrong way, but if you can afford a Color Laser you might consider that. You can probably get a good one for about $200:http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/977175/Samsung-CLP-315-Color-Laser-Printer/[Note: I haven't tried this printer personally, but I know someone that has a B&W Samsung Laser and it works well for him] Alternatively you can do what I do and use a Black and White Laser Printer for home and send your color pictures to Kodak/Walmart and specialized color to a print shop like FedEx Kinko's. This works out really well for me because Kodak can print my 3x5's out cheaper than I probably could if I had my own color printer than I can use my much cheaper B&W Laser for heavy duty print jobs. It's really funny, I got my current B&W Laser Printer used several years ago and never had to do anything but change the toner cartridge (easy task), but every InkJet I have ever owned has given me frequent problems. I am soooooo glad I don't use InkJet printers anymore. Yes, it is true my Used Laser B&W doesn't print as good an image as a new Laser B&W would but with as much work as I've thrown at it I am shocked at how well it does!!!If you can wait until the Thursday after thanksgiving, you can probably get a really good deal on a B&W Laser Printer. I'm pretty sure that's how the person with the B&W Samsung got his and the deal seems to work out for him. Long story short, consider getting a Laser Color printer or getting a B&W Color Printer and contracting your print jobs out to a printing service.

If it's an integrated cartridge/printhead type, try rubbing a small amount of water onto the printhead surface of the cartridge . This is often more effective than cleaning-cycles, and doesn't waste ink.Though, it amazes me how many people will spend up to $200 on 'multifunction' or 'photo' inkjet loaded with silly gadgets, when for the same money they could have... a printer."Nil Carborundum Illegitemi" - ??
