Hi I recently did an update for windows and it has totally botched my programs from being able to connect back to the internet for updates, file sharing , etc. I get the response"Connection error 10013" and "unable to make a connection due to socket ...." Someone plz help. I can't do updates on my nortons utility program , norton 360 program, or bittorrent connection to outside users. I have given them permission in firewall settings to no avail. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, First, I suggest restore the computer to the point which the issue not occurs to check. This issue can be caused by antivirus or firewall software. Let’s also disable antivirus software and Firewall on the computer temporarily and try connecting and check if things get any better. Note: Make sure you turn-on the antivirus software and Windows Firewall later. You may test the issue in Clean Boot. Hope this helps.
